One of my favorite parts of being in the wedding industry is meeting all of the amazing vendors that work together to celebrate a couple's first day as husband and wife! We’ll be highlighting some of these talented professionals in what we’ll call, Friendor (friend x vendor) Friday! These are the best of the best that we absolutely love working with on wedding days. Our recommendations to my lovely Bride & Grooms are currently all located in St. Louis but stay tuned, we'll highlight other cities shortly! ;)
Meet Kaitlin!
Owner of K. Hart Events.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is getting to meet new people all the time! Whether it’s my couples and their friends and family, or the incredible vendors in our industry (like you!), I love that I’m constantly making new connections and forming new relationships every day.
What makes your business different than others?
I always strive to connect with people. I love being able to hang with my clients like we’ve been friends for years, and ensuring they feel the same way around me. Trust is a huge part of hiring someone to help you plan your wedding day and I don’t ever want my clients to feel like they can’t trust me, my vision, and my capabilities.
What is your favorite thing to create? Why?
This might sound silly but this is a tie between a good tablescape and a detailed timeline. There is no feeling more satisfying than seeing a perfect table set-up come together as a beautifully finished product, especially when it started out in my brain as a million different ideas. And I live off the minute-by-minute details in a perfectly structured timeline. Watching a plan come together just as you imagined it is what gives me life!
My phone. I would die. It’s my lifeline to not only my family + friends but also my business and I literally wouldn’t be able to function without it. It that bad?
If you had to only eat one thing for dinner for the next year, what would you eat?
Mexican food, hands down!
What’s one small business in St. Louis you love?
This is so hard! I have so many that I love in so many different sectors. I’d say Mulligans Grill, which is one of my husband + I’s favorite spots to eat + drink. It’s a family owned restaurant that’s been around for years and you feel that every time you walk in. We love that it’s always filled with familiar faces and not to mention they have the best wings in town!

Meet Katie!
Owner of Rouge Events and Design
I LOVE working with Katie for so many reasons. One, she is the most laid-back human being to ever grace this planet. When things seem like it’s all chaos and everything is unraveling before our very eyes, Katie is the peace we all need in our lives. Katie is also ALWAYS down for a flower challenge and executes it with perfection. Any Bride she works with is lucky to have her as a part of their vendor team.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is the creativity that comes with it designing the arrangements.
What makes your business different than others?
We combine our family and business. We want our clients to feel comfortable and like a part of our family, too.
What is your favorite thing to create? Why?
The bridal bouquet...it comes with so much meaning and is so important. It’s a big responsibility, but it brings me so much joy.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? Why?
Coffee...I have two, almost three kids so it’s a must. But also, my husband; he is my rock. I give him a lot of trouble, but his support and love is key to my success.
If you had to only eat one thing for dinner for the next year, what would you eat?
Pasta....it’s good for the soul.
What’s one small business in St. Louis you love?
Picasso’s Coffee!

Meet Jessica! Owner of White Traditions Bridal House and Cleo's Bridal.
Jessica has such a sweet personality and heart to truly serve her Brides. I love that her stores have so many styles and is so size inclusive. As someone who was once searching for a modest bridal gown, Jessica knows how to accommodate Bride’s like me, too! Both of her stores are so welcoming and I absolutely love the personal touches that she and her husband have added.

One thing I couldn’t live without is COFFEE! 4 year old + 2 year old + husband + full time job + home bakery = a LOT of coffee drinking!
If you had to only eat one thing for dinner for the next year, what would you eat?
If I could only eat one thing for dinner for the next year, it would be Chili’s chips and salsa.

Meet Ashley!
Owner of Ashley Boren Makeup & Hair
I LOVE working with Ashley because I know my Brides are going to have AMAZING eyelashes and gorgeous glam look. I’m really particular about how I like skin textures to look on camera, I want it smooth but still able to show the skin’s texture and Ashley does an amazing job at making skin look radiant and natural.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is making someone feel their absolute best on their wedding day. You can instantly see the confidence boost once they’re ready!
What makes your business different than others?
What makes us stand out from others is the way we will make you feel on your wedding day. I swear, I feel like we are hanging out with our girlfriends and jammin to some 90’s music! (The best!)
What is your favorite thing to create? Why?
My favorite thing to create is a soft glam bridal look & an undone, romantic updo. It’s so timeless & *literally* looks amazing on everyone! I would say that’s our signature look.

I have two things I cannot leave the house with- a good mascara & a tinted moisturizing lip balm. #momsohard
