Annalise and Jason met each other while they were both living in Florida. When Annalise came to St. Louis for school, Jason would visit her almost every weekend before he joined her here, too! Jason planned on proposing to Annalise during their vacation in Scotland, but COVID had other plans. Instead, the two went to the beautiful Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming where Jason asked Annalise to marry him.
Throughout their years of dating, they’ve been able to travel to many destinations together during every four day weekend, but I think the journey of marriage will be their best journey yet.
Jason and Annalise define fun-loving, adventurous couples in love and this is everything we hope for when we photograph couples. We wish for laughter, and joy, and down-to-earth brides with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Jason and Annalise to a T!
We were so lucky to have a beautiful engagement session in historic Main Street Saint Charles this past spring and their wedding day was even more perfect!
The day started with the girls getting ready at the Bridal Suite on the property where hair and make-up was done by Libby's Blowtiwue while the guys hung out shooting pool in the Grooms’ suite nearby. Annalise was surrounded with so much love from her girls and her mother... and the most delicious cinnamon rolls, shout out to Alyssa for making those pockets of heaven!
When Annalise got her dress on (from Mia Grace Bridal) everyone squealed when she came downstairs. She was jaw-dropping and her positivity was more radiant than ever. She has an unbelievable heart for serving and loving others. This became so apparent when she was surrounded by her bridesmaids as they all were just so excited to be a part of the day.
Jason and Annalise chose to have a first look and my goodness was it a tear jerker. To no one's surprise, Jason shed a few tears when he first saw Annalise! Afterwards it was time for bride and groom portraits then we took wedding party photos before the ceremony.
After the ceremony we took family photos while the venue staff did a room and guests enjoyed cocktails in the courtyard before gettin the party started. Jason gave a very touching welcome speech that ended with a moment of reflection which we absolutely loved. I think the best part of reception came from Jason's children, when they sang and danced to Baby by Justin Bieber. It was SO sweet!
Annalise's grandma and grandpa won the anniversary dance, being married over 60 years!
All in all, it was truly a perfect day! Together, Annalise and Jason completely compliment one another. He is always smiling (as is Annalise) and loves her deeply, and quietly. They are, indeed, a perfect match, and I am just bursting with joy that I get to document their love.
Annalise and Jason, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. I am so beyond happy that we got to be there to witness the beginning of your next big adventure. Thank you a million times over for being so incredible. I hope this new adventure together gets better each and every day. Your joy is contagious and I absolutely loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Cheers to many more decades of love and happiness!
