It's no secret that J and I love to eat. One of the first questions we ask new people we meet is, "What's your Taco Bell order?" But on Saturday mornings when there's no weddings, J and I love making a big breakfast spread. It's my favorite meal that can be eaten anytime throughout the day. When Mikey & Emily told us they were serving brunch at their wedding, we couldn't wait for their wedding to come. Boy, was well worth the wait! Two Mikes Catering made the BEST french toast casserole and quiche I've ever had, amongst a fruit salad, hash browns, and other yummies!
Their intimate, outdoor nuptials took place at the Historic Hawken House in Webster Groves, MO. Their reception was held on the property as well at the Hearth Room.
Emily and Mikey chose to have a first look with just the two of them. I think Mikey's reaction was my favorite part of the whole day. It may have been the same day as the royal wedding, but Mikey made sure that Emily knew she looked like a princess.
Emily's parents went above and beyond in DIYing the vast majority of the wedding. Her mom designed the gorgeous bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces of eucalyptus, ranunculus, peonies, and roses. She also baked and decorated their lovely cakes... and still looked beautiful for the wedding.
There were so many handmade details at their wedding, and everything was absolutely stunning!
