There were several good things that came out of 2020 - more animals were adopted from animal shelters than most years, dolphins swam through the Venice canals, and Evan & Amanda fell in love!
We had so much fun getting to know these two at Lafayette Park and getting ice cream at Clementine’s for their engagement session - recreating their first dates. See their engagement session here.
Evan and Amanda had the most darling summer wedding at Stone House of St. Charles.
Everything was so gorgeous in pinks and navy. I LOVED the peonies in Amanda’s bouquet the Evan’s mom arranged!
The two were married in the Sycamore Hall surround by their friends and family. Afterwards, guests enjoyed cocktails under the huge sycamore tree before going back inside for a beautiful reception. Guests dined at farmhouse tables with and amazing lineup of food from Holly Berry Catering - Caesar salad, prosciutto wrapped chicken breast stuffed with gouda, smashed potatoes, and asparagus with boursin sauce. For dessert, my favorite part, there was vanilla cake with raspberry jam (YESS!), lemon cake with vanilla fill-in, and triple chocolate cake (J was thrilled about this one). The two danced to a beautifully choreographed first dance, followed by dances with her dad and his mom, then opened the dance floor to everyone. As guests left, they took a HUGE, yummy cookie with the couple's monogrammed initial.
There were so many sweet moments that made up their wedding day, but I know that the "sweet stuff" won't stop now that they're married. Amanda & Evan, may you always find ways to express your love for one another, small or grand, all the days of your marriage.
The girls were so excited their Aunt Manda was getting married!
