When I was in the third grade I did a book report on the St. Louis World's Fair. Ever since then, I have been in infatuated with ice cream served in waffle cones, Forest Park, giant ferris wheels and the architecture of my hometown. Louis C. Spiering, one of the lead architects for the 1904 World's Fair, was commissioned in 1908 to design the St. Louis Artist Guild.
A little over a century later, artists Pat and Carol Schuhard discovered the vacant building and went to work restoring and creating the beautiful event space it is today. Since 2015, hundreds of couples have said, "I Do" on the same stage poets and playwrights like Tennessee Williams once preformed.
The Boo Cat Club seats 220 seated guests in the Theatre and Ballroom and 175 in the Catacombs below. This historic gem and unique event space is perfect for those Bride & Grooms who love tradition, and making it their own.
A painting of Louis C. Spiering by Pat Schuhard hangs above a fireplace at the Boo Cat Club.
